    1. Use a calendar to keep track of all the various festivities. With end of the school year parties, team gatherings and regular after-school activities, it is easy to see how one could forget some of the events. Keeping track of all the special occasions on your calendar or even setting reminders on your cell phone will help ensure you aren’t the parent who forgot about the class party.
    2. Pack lunches the night before and keep the food healthy! Let’s face it, we all wish we could have a leisurely morning sipping hot coffee and watching the news. Unfortunately, we are lucky if we have time for a bite of banana before we head out the door. Packing lunches the night before will make for a more relaxed morning. Also, keeping the food healthy will make the kids feel better, especially with all the treats that they are likely enjoying at the end of the year parties.
    3. Enjoy the extra daylight by taking walks in the evening. This is a great way to wind down and end your day. Plus, the fresh air and a little extra movement will help you calm down before bed.familysunset
    4. Plan a fun activity or trip for your family this summer. While kids are generally excited about school letting out, moving from a structured schedule to having lots of free time can be challenging. Having an activity to look forward to can help make the transition from school to summer vacation a little easier. Plus, it gives you something to get excited about!
